Thing 2 : Blogging

Adventures in blogging. Today I created my very first blog! I believe I have a ways to go before my blog site is nominated for one of the webblog awards :-)
Searching through the various blogs I am reminder of what us librarians often refer to as "information overload." I found the BlogScope to have one of the better search options. I really liked having the ability to search related terms that were provided after submitting my initial search. I located a couple of blogs of professional interest to me;
"The Information Literacy Land of Confusion Blog"
"The Krafty Librarian"
Of course my favorite part of this exercise was searching the Bloggies award site for best blogs. Some of my favorites here are the best food, best photography and best entertainment. Again, tons of information! I found that I needed to watch the amount of time spent searching these blogs in order to get something else done today!

Who or What is Weazer?

Weazer is one of many nicknames for a person with the first name of Louise. Other nicknames for Louise are; Eliza,Eloise,Lois,Lou,Lulu, Louisa etc. I suppose there are worse nicknames! So who is Weazer? I am the intern in the Libraries’ Department of Education and Outreach department for the Winter and Spring quarter here at UC Irvine. I am also a library student working on finishing my Masters in Library and Information Science degree this semester.
Although I am a little behind in joining the UCI Libraries 10 Things or So List I am looking forward to participating!
